✨ How It All Began

MiMi’s Natural Skincare was born out of a simple but powerful desire: to create truly natural, vegan skincare products I could trust. Like many, I’ve always cared about what goes into the products I use on my skin—but I found that so many brands labeled as “natural” or “clean” still included ingredients I didn’t recognize or feel good about.

During the pandemic in 2020 and 2021, like many others, I slowed down—and I started to dig deeper. I spent hours researching, reading, experimenting, and learning everything I could about plant-based skincare, the chemistry of oils and botanicals, and the healing properties of nature’s ingredients. What began as curiosity quickly became passion. And what started in my own kitchen turned into MiMi’s.

💚 Why “MiMi’s”?

MiMi was my nickname when I was a little girl. It holds deep, personal meaning for me. As a child, I loved being in nature—I especially cherished visiting my uncle’s ranch in Mexico. There, I would watch my uncle and my mother use plants not only to cook but also to heal. From natural salves to homemade remedies, there was a deep respect for the earth and everything it could provide. That love of nature and belief in its power stayed with me, even as life moved forward and got more complicated.

MiMi’s Natural Skincare is a return to that simplicity. To that trust. To that connection between the land, our bodies, and the way we care for ourselves.

MiMi’s is a tribute to that love and to a more intentional way of living.
